- Order value: Rs.53.75 Crores - This is by far the single largest order received by Bajaj Electricals Limited.
- Scope of work: Basic intention of the RGGVY scheme is providing electrical power supply to Below Poverty Line (BPL) rural households across India. Nodal agency for this work is the Rural Electrification Corporation and NTPC, PGCIL, DVC etc are the implementing agencies.
Brief description of the scope covered in Bajaj order is as under:
- Carrying out detailed survey using Satellite linked Geographical Information System (GIS) equipments of the sub-stations, proposed line routes for HT/LT lines, survey of villages (approx. 900 nos.) and assessment of quantities of various equipments.
- Augmentation of 5 nos. 33kV / 11kV sub-stations by providing additional 33kV and 11kV bays complete with all equipments.
- Augmentation of 32 nos. 33kV / 11kV Sub-stations by providing 11kV bays complete with all equipment.
- Construction of 11kV HT line of 790 Circuit Km length using PCC poles, conductors, Aerial Bunch Cables and associated hardware / equipment. ¢ Providing 1131 nos. of Distribution Transformer Centres (11kV/0.433kV) with 10kVA, 16kVA and 25kVA transformers, mounting structures and other associated equipment.
- Providing single point electric connections to approximately 40,000 nos. rural BPL households complete with cable, energy meters and associated equipment.
- This is the first order awarded in the state of Chattisgarh for carrying out RE works under RGGVY scheme and Bajaj becomes the first company to start the RE work project in the state of Chattisgarh
