Radisson Blu Resort - Case Study

The Challenge

The Radisson Blue Resort in Goa is one of the state's premium hospitality destinations with 132 rooms inside a 7 acre area. Bajaj Electricals IBMS team was given a challenge by Radisson Blu to provide all the occupants with complete temperature control across Titos Club, Conference Hall, Cafeteria, Admin Blocks and Rooms. The two major components of the Building Management System (BMS) (guaranteed to work the very first time, and to be implemented quickly) were: • Centralized HVAC to minimize energy cost & ensure occupant comfort • Single Seat Management for Fire & Smoke Detection to ensure occupant safety

The Solution

BMS was applied across the building with the help of a Delta System Controller (Bacnet over IP), Delta Application Controller, Delta Field Module & Greystone sensors. All air handling units were operated through the Delta Control ORCAview Building Management system software.

The Outcome

The exercise was tremendously successful, and the whole facility was made BMS Compatible. The hotel management was enthused by the level of control over operations and could focus on giving their guests a good experience. The Radisson Blu management is keen for a long and mutually beneficial relationship with Bajaj Electricals.
