The ideal candidate should be Mechanical/Production Engineer with Post-Graduation in Industrial Design from IDC, Mumbai/NDC, Ahmedabad.
He/she should have 8-9 years work experience in product design and styling preferably in appliances/automobile Industry. He/she should be proficient in sketching skills, graphics, colour rendition, etc. He/she should be proficient in design and engineering design software, Pro-E, Alias Studio, Corel, etc.
Some exposure to manufacturing process in Plastic Injection Moulding, Sheet Metal fabrication and processing or surface treatment process like painting, powder coating, plating, anodizing, etc would be a distinct advantage.
As part of management team, the person should be able co-ordinate with other functions such as Marketing, Development, Supply Chain Management and Customer Care. In addition, he/ she would also be required to inter-act with vendors, testing agencies, BIS, etc.
Candidates with qualifications and exposure as above but with experience of 2-3 years will be considered for the position of Design Executive. They will provide technical support to Design Manager in product designing and styling.
