Origin of Shahi Tukra

The word Shahi Tukda is made up of two words: Shahi, which means regal, and Tukda, which means piece. The Easiest Recipe for Shahi Tukra

Step1: Make the sugar syrup
In a pan, heat sugar and water until the sugar melts, then add the saffron threads.  Boil the syrup until it reaches a two-string consistency. Turn off the burner and set the sugar syrup aside once it has thickened a little.

Step 2: Begin preparing the rabri
In a separate pan, boil the milk over medium heat until it has been reduced to about 1/4 of its original volume. Remember to keep stirring until the milk is reduced, then add the cardamom powder.

Step 3: Lightly toast the bread slices
Cut the sides of the bread pieces and slice them into two triangles. Then, in a pan with ghee, shallow fry the bread till it turns crisp and golden brown on both sides.
