Who doesn’t love chocolates? We readily turn to it no matter the sentiment. And though there might be furious debate on dark vs. white, one thing all of us can definitely agree upon is how sinfully delectable chocolate is. Now with Christmas knocking on the door, all of us are ready to indulge in some plum puddings and fruit cakes. In this season of indulgence, we bring you a couple of easy-peasy chocolate recipes that will definitely wow you and your family.
Chocolate-Covered Strawberries

Ingredients

  150 gm   chopped semisweet chocolate
750 gm   large strawberries (washed and dried)
  1   parchment / waxed paper
  1   baking sheet

Fill a saucepan with ⅓ water, then bring it to boil over high heat. Turn off the heat. Then put all the chopped chocolate in a bowl and place it over the saucepan. Keep stirring until its smooth.  Now, line a baking sheet with parchment or waxed paper. Grasp a strawberry by its leaves and dip it into the melted chocolate. Lay the strawberry on its side on the baking sheet to dry. Repeat with other strawberries.

Expert Tip: Dress up any dessert or cake by arranging them on top.

White Chocolate Mousse with Oreo Cookies

Ingredients

  1 cup   crushed Oreo cookies
  1 cup   chopped white chocolate
  2 tbsp   milk
1 ½ cups   beaten whipped cream

Blend the chocolate and milk together, then microwave it on high for 1 minute. Ensure that the mixture is smooth and lump-free. Now, mix the beaten whipped cream and the chocolate together and fold it gently. Divide the crushed Oreo cookies into four equal portions. Then, put one portion of the cookies in a serving glass and follow it up with one portion of mousse. Repeat the process for another glass. Refrigerate them for an hour, then layer each glass with another portion of crushed Oreos. Serve chilled.

Expert Tip: Use a funnel or a nozzle fitted piping bag for the chocolate mixture. This will add finesse to your dessert.

So this Christmas, go ahead and make these easy delicacies to surprise everyone with your culinary skills.
