Celebrate guilt-free Holi with Nirlep cookware

Ragi Malpua:

Prepared using ragi flour, oats flour, powdered sugar, milk, coconut, honey and fruits, this guilt-free sweet recipe will become an instant favorite of your dear ones.

Serves: 4                                                                          Prepping Time: 15 min

Cooking Time: 15 min

Ingredients:

  • Ragi flour – 60 gm
  • Wheat flour – 30 gm
  • Salt – A pinch
  • Sesame oil – 3 tbsp
  • Pistachios – ½ cup
  • Cardamom powder – 1 tsp
  • Coconut, grated – ½ cup
  • Oats powder – 15 gm
  • Milk – 170 ml
  • Powdered sugar – 80 gm
  • Honey – 2 tsp
  • Banana, sliced (for garnishing) – 1


Method:

Step 1: Crush the pistachios into small pieces. Take a large bowl and add the grated coconut along with green cardamom powder, crushed pistachios and honey. Combine all the ingredients properly and keep it aside.

Step 2: In another large bowl, add the ragi flour, oats flour and wheat flour along with a pinch of salt and the powdered sugar. Add the pistachios and coconut mixture. Gradually, add milk to form a smooth flowy batter.

Step 3:  Heat a non-stick tawa over medium flame. Pour some batter on the tawa and spread it to make a small fluffy circle. Sprinkle some oil on the edges to avoid sticking and cook for 1-2 minutes. Flip the Malpua and cook it for another minute. Repeat the process with the remaining batter.

Step 4: Transfer the malpuas to a serving plate. Top it with honey and garnish with sliced bananas.

Oats and Dry Fruits Laddoo:

Oats and dry fruits Laddoo are made with goodness of dry fruits, oats and dates. This delicious and nutrients-rich recipe would be loved by people of all ages. 

Serves: 4                                                               Prepping Time: 15 min

Cooking Time: 15 min

Ingredients:

  • Oats – ¼ cup
  • Cashew nus – ¼ cup
  • Almonds – ¼ cup
  • Pistachios – ¼ cup
  • Walnuts – 10
  • Dates, de-seeded – 12
  • Figs – 10
  • Sesame seeds (optional) – 2 tbsp
  • Flax seeds – 2 tbsp
  • Cardamom Powder (optional) – ½ tsp


Method:

Step 1: Finely chop all the figs and de-seeded dates. Keep it aside.

Step 2: Take a pan and roast flax seeds until they start cracking. Once done, let them cool.

Step 4: Grind roasted flax seeds and oats to a fine powder.

Step 5: Finely chop all the nuts or grind them coarsely mixing figs, dates and sesame seeds.

Step 7: When the mixture binds together properly, add cardamom powder. Mix it well and remove the mixture from the heat. Allow it to cool for some time. 

Step 8: Make small round laddoos from the mixture. If you are facing difficulty in binding the laddoos, add some ghee to it.

Tip: You can also add jaggery if you want it to be sweet.
