Bajaj has been closely associated with the movement for promoting fair business practices. The late Shri Ramkrishna Bajaj was one of the founder members and President of. the Council for Fair Business Practices (CFBP). Today, Shri Shekhar Bajaj, his eldest son, is involved in these efforts as a Past President of CFBP.
In 1990, the Bajaj Group gave a grant to the Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies for establishing a course on ethics in business.
In 1988, to promote high standards of integrity and fairness among small, medium and large businesses and industrial enterprises, the Bajaj Group gave a donation to CFBP for instituting annual awards in the name of Jamnalal Bajaj.
In the Jamnalal Bajaj Centenary year, the Bajaj Group made a donation of Rs. 3.5 million to the S.N.D.T. Women's University for setting up a CFBP Food Testing Laboratory. This was to enable people to get food items and medicines tested for purity |
